• anywhere where you park your ass and pay NYC income tax.  

Yes, NYC income tax, that wonderful 3%-5% in additional to state and federal taxes that New York City residents are subject to.  Most of the world outside NY has no idea this goes on, but it’s one of those “fun things” you get to do by being a NYer.

As soon as someone stopping taxing my neighborhood with something called “NYC Income Tax”, I’ll consider myself not part of NYC.  You know, like most people don’t think Staten Island is either.
