Less than total irrelevance. By Matthew Knell

Now that the Mets are done, what’s next for Citi Field? Well, professional football of course! The first football game ever at Citi Field will be on Wednesday November 4th, as the United Football League’s New York Sentinels battle the Las Vegas Locos at 8pm.  Tickets are on sale tomorrow at 10am ET and start at $11.  Be sure to be one of the first, and few as soon as the NFL sics it’s lawyers, marketing power and antitrust exemption on it, to see NFL washups and outcasts play professional football actually played within the New York City limits.

I’ll probably go just for the novelty of it all.
