That’s right: cute animals — and meeting awesome people!
And Social Media for Social Change (SM4SC) has found a way to combine the two — and make a BIG difference at the same time.
We’re teaming up with the folks at TechKaraoke to create our first ever NATIONWIDE karaoke event in support of North Shore Animal League America:
SM4SC Sings: A National Day of Karaoke!
The hits you love… the rough notes… the forgotten lyrics… and all for a GREAT cause. Party animals helping real animals!
If you’re in one of the cities below, there’s already an event for you! All you need to do is sign up to rock the mike! If you want to hold your own karaoke event anywhere in America that will donate to North Shore Animal League, contact us, and we’ll include you on this list! We are also looking for local partners who will match the donations made in a particular city. Contact us if you can help make this happen.
If you can’t make an event, you’re always welcome to donate - even $1 counts to our online FirstGiving page. All donations made through the FirstGiving page are 100% tax-deductible.

ABOUT NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE
NSAL America is the largest hands on humane organization in the world. We rescue and give medical care to over 20,000 orphaned animals each year, animals that would otherwise be put to sleep; our emergency response teams are currently saving animals lives in the Hurricane Katrina area.

TechKaraoke was created in 2008 by Michael Gruen (@gruen) and Brett Petersel (@brett) as a way to bring tech communities together — not to discuss anything tech-related, but to rock out to some of the worst songs ever! Now chapters of ballad- and air-guitar happy techies have sprung up across the US!
TechKaraoke has official chapters in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, San Diego, Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Social Media for Social Change (@sm4sc on Twitter) has been the frontrunner in using social media tools to benefit non profit organizations. Beginning in 2008, this volunteer-based group of technology, marketing and PR pros has hosted city-based events with the help of regional and national sponsors to benefit local charities, as well as “virtual” fundraising events to engage individual donors
worldwide in targeted giving.
